The edges of laminate bench tops can be rolled in many shapes including 180 degree roll, 10 mm x 10 mm roll, 7 mm x 7 mm roll or shark’s tooth roll.
Many thicknesses are available up to 60 mm, but if you wish more then that is possible as well with what is termed a drop front.

You should not require a plumber or electrician for a straight forward bench top replacement, but if you do, it will cost extra.
Whether the bench top is larger or smaller, does not mean that the price will fluctuate very much at all , as most of the costs are labor costs.
